The Travel Doctor - 15th April

Rian heard about a travel doctor in Maroochydore (10 mins away) who was supposedly the best. Dr. John Kenafake from the Maroochydore 7 day medical Centre, was happy enough to sit down with Rian and Dylan to discuss their medical requirements for a trip this epic.

Malaria was the only concern the guys had which was soon confirmed. Then there was talk about a Rabies outbreak in Indonesia and shots for Hepatitis A & B, Tetanus, Typhoid and Polio.

Sure enough ½ an hour later, Rian and Dylan were being prodded with half a dozen needles – and who should we find out gets queasy around a little baby injection but our good South African friend – Dylan! Ha! Dylan lay down as to not embarrass himself in front of the pretty nurse and the camera, just in case he was to faint!

So now we’re locked in for 3 more courses of these shots and shortly our Malaria medication will start two weeks prior to departure. Yippee!
