Trailer

Rian and Dylan cycled and surfed across Indonesia in 2009. This is the trailer to their 4 part travel documentary being released in 2010. They explored the Islands of Sumatra, Similue, Nias, Asu, Mentawai, Java and Bali, finding many world class waves in the process.

The DVD includes animated maps, 18 months of preparation before leaving and then action packed footage of day to day life on the bikes, meeting interesting people and exploring remote regions of the Indonesian Archipelago.

From volcanoes in the Sumatran highlands to the awsome power of Lagundri Bay, Nias, you will get to see Indonesia through the eyes of two young Australian bodyboarders.

South African Bboard Magazine Sixty40 gives us 6 page spread.

The Voyager Issue - In issue 12 we look at the some epic voyages, from Rian Cope and Dylan Brayshaw traversing the Indonesian archipelago on bicycles to Andre Botha's more personal journey at the fabled break of El Fronton in the Canaries. Click here to read, go to pg 21 - 26

Bicycle Touring Pro Review – Darren Alff

"At the start of their adventure, neither Rian or Dylan were big cyclists, but both were extremely passionate about surfing (what some would call "boogie boarding"). So, when they read a book listing some of the best surfing locations around the world, they noticed that several of these world-class surf spots were located in nearby Indonesia. That's where Eat. Sleep. Surf. was born! Over the next several months, Rian and Dylan began planning and preparing for a 3-and-a-half month-long bicycle/surfing trip across the Indonesian islands of Sumatra, Similue, Nias, Sipora, Java and Bali". DOCUMENTRY REVIEW BY PAT GRANT

Dylan Brayshaw and Rian Cope made a documentary about their trip cycling and surfing from Banda Aceh to Bali.
I can't express how disappointed I am with the current state of the surf travel yarn. Looking at the mainstream surf media you could be forgiven for believing that the only surf travel that goes on in the modern world is the three day hit and run mission. Surf travel has become a frantic but predictable story. READ MORE...
